Mountain Biking – Enduro

Join us for the ultimate test of skill, stamina, and speed at the Mountain Biking Enduro Race — where rugged terrain meets adrenaline-fueled adventure. Set in the heart of Nerang, this multi-stage mountain biking event will push riders to their limits across technical descents, lung-burning climbs, and breathtaking trails.

Competition Categories: 

  • Individual Male and Female in the below categories:
    • 18-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+ 
    • E-Bike

Competition Course:

The course will consist of 3 timed downhill sections, with the uphill sections, while not timed, expected to be completed within a set time. Time penalties apply for exceeding the transition periods.

  • The event will start at the bottom of the GC2018 Loop 3 (#8) trail and competitors will climb up the fire road to the start of Petes trail (#3) where the timed downhill section will commence. Competitors will follow Petes trail down to a point where it will traverse (guided by bunting) to the North Street Break Fire Road before entering the downhill section of the GC2018 Loop 3 (#8) trail to the finish line on the Velodrome Break Fire Road. (Descent Distance Approx. 3.2km, 130m descent)
  • The second run will have competitors climb the Casuarina Explorer Long Loop (#22) to the top where they will then commence the timed downhill section, Casuarina Explorer Long Loop (#22) down connecting with the Casuarina Grove Circuit (#2) to the finish line on the Velodrome Break Fire Road. (Descent Distance Approx. 2km, 90m descent)
  • The third and final run will have competitors climb to near the start of the Three Hills (#5), opposite the entry into Taipan (#13), where the timed downhill section will commence. Competitors will follow the Three Hills down the mountain to where it connects with the GC2018 Loop 1 (#6), following that to the finish line at the Velodrome Break Fire Road. (Descent Distance Approx. 2.8km, 150m descent)

Places are determined by the completion of the timed downhill sections.

Course familiarisation: TBC.

Mandatory requirements: Full face helmet & knee coverage or protection.

Recommended Protective Equipment: Spinal protection, shoulder protection, elbow/forearm coverage or protection, neck brace & hand protection. 

Check in: No later than 30mins prior to the start of the event. This event check in will commence at TBC with the start time of TBC.

Toilets: Yes.

Change Rooms: Yes

First Aid: Paramedics will be on site for this event.

Food/Beverage: TBC.

Getting there:Competitors will need to source and arrange their own transport to this event and venue.

Free vehicle parking is available at the venue with space for buses and minibuses if required.
