Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) is a martial art and combat sport focused on grappling and ground fighting. It emphasises leverage and technique to overcome a stronger opponent, particularly on the ground, through techniques like joint locks and chokes. BJJ originated in Brazil, evolving from Japanese Jiu-Jitsu and Judo, and is known for its practical self-defense applications and competitive sport aspect.
Date: Sunday-Monday 11-12 October 2026 Time: 10am – 6pm Cost: $55 individual | $20pp for quintet

Competition structure:
- This event will be run in accordance with the Grappling Industries Rule Set (2025).
- Individual matches will be round robin.
Competition Categories:
- Male and Female.
- Weight and experience/ belt level.
- Gi and No Gi.

- Please include any belt colour and years of training/experience in your registration.
- If no other competitors are available in your nearest weight class, you may be moved to another division. You will be contacted if this is the case.
- Quintet format – 5 person per team with variety of weight classes and experience levels.
Check in: No later than 30mins prior to the start of the event.
Toilets: Yes.
Change Rooms: Yes.
First Aid: First Aid officers will be on site for the event.
Food/Beverage: Food trucks and onsite café will be operating during the event for food and beverages.
Getting there: Competitors will need to source and arrange their own transport to this event and venue.
Free vehicle parking is available at the venue with space for buses and minibuses if required.
