Shooting- Rifle- Small Bore

Join marksmen and women from across Australasia for a thrilling display of skill, discipline, and accuracy. Whether you're a seasoned shooter or a rising talent, this competition offers a challenging and rewarding environment for all levels. Compete in prone, standing, and kneeling positions across various distances, and test your precision under pressure.

Address: Small Bore Competition Facility, Belmont Shooting Complex, 1485 Old Cleveland Road, Belmont.

 

All shooters MUST bring their own rifle and equipment. 

 

Ammunition can be purchased from the Small Bore Rifle Club.  

 

Competition Categories:

  • Individual– Unisex
  • Target Rifle Australia offers the following grades: 
    • Master 
    • A Grade 
    • B Grade 
    • C Grade 
    • Unclassified Grade 

Competition Structure:

  • Competitors will shoot from the prone position.
  • Competitors will fire a 60-shot “English” Match using .22 calibre rifles.
  • Sighters non-convertible & distance of 50 metres.
  • TRA rules apply.

Check in: No later than 30mins prior to the start of the event.

 

Start time: 7:00pm.

 

Toilets: Yes.

 

Changerooms: No.

 

First Aid: Basic first aid available, please see your sports coordinator if required.

 

Food and Beverage: Competitors are encouraged to bring their own meals and snacks. A fridge and microwave are available for use. Bottled water can be purchased. Tea and coffee making facilities are available. Shops are 3.3kms away.

 

Getting there: Competitors will need to source and arrange their own transport to this event and venue.

 

Free vehicle parking is available at the venue with space for minibuses if required.

 

Accommodation: Please be aware that the Belmont Shooting Complex is approximately 72kms away from Surfers Paradise and the Pacific Motorway (M1) is usually extremely congested during peak hours.  Accommodation is available within the Belmont shooting complex. See the availability –https://qldrifle.com/accommodation/

 

Please note: if you are staying near Belmont and are flying, the closest airport would be Brisbane.

Firearms and Travel within Queensland: If you are travelling to Queensland with your firearms for an approved AP&ES Games shooting event, please bring your physical firearms licence card (Electronic copies will not be accepted) as proof for sport and target shooting. The Queensland Weapons Act 1990 & Weapons Regulations 2016 recognise interstate licenses for sport and target shooting.  Storage and transporting weapons in Queensland are covered in Sections 95 & 96 of the Weapons Regulation 2016.

Firearms Storage: The Queensland Police Pistol Club can offer safe storage of your firearm/s during your stay.  Prior arrangements must be made with the Sports coordinator.
